You may also want to try alternative or herbal methods, but remember that care should always be taken to insure that your child will not have any adverse reaction to what you may be giving him/her. Herbal methods like cayenne, ginko biloba, ginger and chamomile can be a good alternative solution that can work well along with the conventional care that you are giving your child.
